How can America demand that our reporters and journalists have access to the truth in other countries and we hide behind a veil of secrecy in this country?
How can America speak out against wholesale executions in China or Saudi Arabia and then conduct wholesale executions in Huntsville, Texas, “The City of Death”?
How can America rage against the unjust incarceration of our citizens in foreign lands and then incarcerate thousands of citizens from other lands without charges being filed and without due process?
MILITARY TRIBUNALS are evil forms of repression and INJUSTICE!!!.
MILITARY TRIBUNALS are the currency of tin-horn DICTATORSHIPS!!!.
MILITARY TRIBUNALS are remnants of the INQUISITION!!!
MILITARY TRIBUNALS are UN-AMERICAN!!!
MILITARY TRIBUNALS are UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!
MILITARY TRIBUNALS are just one step away from being DEATH SQUADS!!!
If, in the opinion of the civilized world, terrorism is an international problem, then terrorists must be tried in an International Court of Law in a neutral country.
All proceedings must be open to the public and the media.
If America is truly committed to bringing peace, democracy, freedom and justice to the world then we must set the highest standards for the rest of the world to follow.
How can we defeat terrorism if we become the greatest terrorists of all?
MILITARY TRIBUNALS destroy our credibility across the globe and only play into the arguments of the terrorists who justify their evil deeds by declaring that America is THE GREAT SATAN which must be defeated.
America can never hope to win the respect of the rest of the world if we conduct ourselves in the same violent and repressive way as those whom we condemn.
